Numbers does not merely honor an overseer; it tells the reader what Eleazar oversees and places the assignment within instructions for the sanctuary and its movement. Chronicles gives an order for service rather than a general license to govern every part of another person's life. Job speaks of God's care preserving his spirit and then continues his lament, so gratitude for life cannot be used to deny his questions.
Isaiah addresses unjust lawmakers who deprive the poor and prey upon widows and orphans, then asks about the coming reckoning. This canonical use of Psalm 109 must retain Acts' named situation and qualifications.
