Brother of Jesus and son of Mary

Who is Joses in the Bible?

Joses, also known as Joseph, was one of the brothers of Jesus Christ and a son of Mary, mentioned in Mark 6:3 and Matthew 13:55 alongside his brothers James, Simon, and Judas (Jude). He was likely born after Jesus, since Jesus is identified as Mary's firstborn in Luke 2:7. Though Joses appears by name in the Gospel accounts of Jesus' ministry, little additional information about his life is recorded in Scripture. His mention among Jesus' siblings serves as a reminder that Jesus came from an ordinary family and that his earthly relationships were integral to his incarnation.
