Jesus Ἰησοῦς
The Son of God and Savior of the world.
Who is Jesus in the Bible?
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became incarnate, being born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem, as recorded in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:21. During His earthly ministry, Jesus taught with authority about the Kingdom of God, performed miracles that demonstrated His divine power, and called people to repentance and faith. He was arrested and crucified under Pontius Pilate, but on the third day He rose from the dead and appeared to His disciples, as documented in Matthew 28:5-10 and 1 Corinthians 15:57. Jesus ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for believers. As the Savior of the world, He provides salvation and forgiveness of sins to all who believe in Him, making Him the central figure of Christianity and the foundation of Christian faith.
