Biography

Meshullam is mentioned in the genealogy of David's descendants in the book of Chronicles (1Ch.3.19). He was one of the sons of Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah who led the first group of exiles back to Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity. Meshullam is listed along with his brothers Hananiah, Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed.
