Where is Jabneel in the Bible?

Jabneel, also spelled Jabneh, was an ancient town located on the border of the tribe of Judah in the biblical land of Israel. The town appears in the book of Joshua as one of the cities marking Judah's territorial boundaries, positioned in the coastal region between Judah and the territories of other tribes. Centuries later, King Uzziah of Judah fortified Jabneel as part of his military expansion and defensive building projects. This fortification reflects the town's strategic importance as a border settlement that required protection.
