Son of Haman killed by the Jews

Who is Parshandatha in the Bible?

Parshandatha was one of the ten sons of Haman, the antagonist of the book of Esther, who was killed during the Jewish self-defense against their persecutors in Persia (Esther 9:7). After Haman devised a plot to annihilate the Jews throughout the Persian empire, King Xerxes reversed his decree and instead granted the Jewish people the right to defend themselves against their enemies. On the 13th and 14th days of Adar, when the decree was executed, the Jews defeated those who sought to harm them, and Parshandatha was among those killed. His death, along with that of his nine brothers, represents the reversal of Haman's genocidal scheme and demonstrates God's deliverance of the Jewish people from destruction.

Biography

Parshandatha was one of the ten sons of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, who was killed when the Jews defended themselves from their enemies, as recorded in Est.9.7. After Haman plotted to destroy the Jews throughout the Persian empire, they were granted permission by King Xerxes to fight back against anyone who attacked them. On the appointed days, the 13th and 14th of the month of Adar, the Jews struck down their enemies, including Parshandatha and his brothers.
