Son of Haman, enemy of the Jews

Who is Vaizatha in the Bible?

Vaizatha was one of the ten sons of Haman, the chief antagonist of the book of Esther (Est. 9:9). As the son of a man who plotted to destroy all Jews in the Persian Empire, Vaizatha shared in his father's fate after Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai exposed and thwarted the plot. When King Ahasuerus granted the Jews the right to defend themselves, they defeated their enemies and killed all of Haman's sons, including Vaizatha, whose body was hanged on the gallows. Vaizatha's death represents the complete annihilation of the opposition to God's people and serves as a sign of divine deliverance in the story of Jewish preservation.
